Come and celebrate the start of JASK Deaf Awareness Month with us on Monday, March 2nd from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm! The opening ceremony will be held in Shoshone Room, Satellite Student Union (SSU) at 17950 Lassen Street, Northridge, CA. A very special guest presenter, Jackie Roth, will be presenting from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. The title of her presentation is “Living in Both Worlds - One’s Journey in the Search for an Identity.” After Jackie Roth’s presentation, the JASK committee will make welcoming remarks and show a short film of interviews with CSUN students about Deaf culture, our Deaf community, and American Sign Language (ASL). Following the film, a discussion and reflection will take place on how we can change or improve the image of the Deaf community at CSUN throughout the month of JASK.
