National Center on Deafness really needs your help!  We have a big program coming up on Sunday, April 19th.  It is the 2nd annual Sign N' Run festival.  We aim to make this event bigger than last year, but one of our primary goals is to bring awareness on Deaf culture, its valuable language, and the network we have been building with our faithful allies for many years.

We need to recruit those who may either wish to run/walk on the course or sponsor this event.  Every penny will go towards the services and scholarships provided by the National Center on Deafness to pave way for every Deaf student's future.  With your help, you are a genuine sponsor for the cause.

This event is made for all, whether you know ASL or not.  This is a social event where all can come together as a community to share our networking, our culture, and our language.  If you wish to come together as a team or even on your own, we strongly implore you to do so because last year, a little over 300 participants have joined the festival.  It was very successful.  But this year, we aim to get at least 1,000 participants to join the festival.  With your help spreading the word, it will be possible to make this happen.

For each runner/walker, the cost is $10, a small fee to get a free t-shirt, run on the awesome 5k-long (3.1 miles) course around the beautiful CSUN campus, grab some refreshments here and there, and, of course, enjoy an entertainment afterwards.  By the way, the size of your t-shirt is guaranteed if you pay three weeks in advance before the event (Friday, March 27th).  For a sponsor, each donation you make is tax deductible.  For more information, please go to the following website:  http://www.csun.edu/ncod/news/signnrun.html

We will be working on establishing a prize for a team who fundraises the most ever.  The same will apply for an individual who raises the most as well.

We look forward to seeing you come to the event as valuable allies for the Deaf community!

Yours,
